Your phone

[link to this post]

I thought your phone on Windows did not require a Ms account? I was chatting to someone this morning, and they were trying to set up your phone as they wanted it to send text messages using their computer, as it is easier with a keyboard and larger screen, but it comes up with Ms account. I am sure that did not happen before.

Anyway to use it without an MS account or does anyone know of another App that does the same thing?

I've been using airdroid, once installed on an android device it can be accessed via a browser using airdroid web.
The free version allows sending receiving texts via browser and the copying of files.
No account is required but you do need to register via email. The paid version allows remote control of phone camera.

A comparison between airdroid and google messages on youtube
