Office Professional 2021

[link to this post]

I need a couple of coopies of Office Professional Plus 2021 - there are plenty of suppliers listing it at "good prices" depending on whether I want direct download, CD or USB.

Does anyone have experience of any suppliers - one to avaoid or ones to consider?

I used 2Go Software in October to buy a Microsoft 365 Family (6 user) licence. They were fine.

You can get it very cheap from the usual CD keys websites..

Just download the ISO from Microsoft directly then no risk of malware etc.

Worse case is the CD key doesn't work, only a few quid lost.

Thats basically what I'm planning, but just wondered about recommendation of which key supplier to use.

Possibly too late for you but anyway. I bit the bullet yesterday evening and bought MS Office Professional Plus 2021 lifetime licence from a link on Bits Du Jour for $36.95. (the seller being Stack Commerce).

Had an anxious half hour as I was following online installation instructions which told me to first uninstall my previous Office installation (Office Pro 2010). When I had done that, I felt really worried thinking about what might go wrong but after another half hour everything was up and running again. After a night's sleep I've spent the morning tweaking but the main thing that email from 2 accounts is all intact and all my day to day stuff is still there and loads into the strange new versions that will take me a while to get used to.

I've subscribed to Bits du Jour daily mailshot for some years now and got several items of software that I use regularly f.o.c. probably the best being MalwareBytes premium lifetime. On the other hand there's a lot of poor stuff on there as well as items that are OK but you wouldn't actually buy.

p.s. Just checked and the deal has now expired but scheduled to come back in due course.

Thanks, I've not got to it yet, other issues have taken over but will do.

If you get another link, please PM it to me. As you have actually succeeded, that is the important point.

As I understand it you've bought something that isn't supposed to be sold/licensed that way and may very well stop working in future.

Microsoft don't sell lifetime licences for Office Pro 2021. These licence keys have been obtained from various dodgy sources and you never know when they will stop working.

You would be much better off paying £59.99/year and get Office 365 with 1 TB of Cloud space

They do: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/p/offi...

It doesn't represent good value against Office 365 though, since the product is only supported for five years. When they supported perpetual licences for 10 years it would work out cheaper than Office 365 in the long run.

Yeah, I managed to miss the critical word "discounted" between lifetime and licences 😐
