windows 12

I have read that the start button on Windows may vanish with Windows 12, and it will be Co pilot. Oh, good grief. I don't use Windows a lot these days and if that is how Windows 12 will be then I will certainly stay with 10l, because no doubt they will try and add it into 11

Win12 is still vapour, so don't panic.

More likely to see Copilot on Win10, but if its anything like the Copilot for 365 it costs a fortune to use.

Why would they use a [censored] sat-nav app for doing that? :/

I know Copilot is coming to win 10, but at least it will be possible to disable, if they do to Windows 12 like it is being said then this AI stuff will be built into the OS, and it will not be possible to disable it. They tried to get rid of the start menu before and it failed.

I really hope Apple don't get into this and if they do, they will not build it into the OS

What on earth are you on about, or is it because I left a space between Co and pilot? If that is the case, then I don't know what to say.

OK. I am surprised that in these brand-sensitive times MS were allowed to get away with using the same name that has already been long used for another product in the technology sector. I failed in my attempt to put the point across with a touch of humour.

I if they'd tried to use TomTom they'd have hit a problem, but the word "copilot" is in the dictionary; much harder. Its also the same usage, an assistant to help the human.

Trademarks are registered for specific services. If there is no overlap, and no risk of confusion, between Microsoft's Copilot and any other Copilot then there is no problem. Trimble MAPS are not the only company who have trademarked the word "Copilot" (or, in their case, CoPilot).

Well, they have used it and they have got away with it.
Money talks.

Sorry, I was not in the best of moods, still not really.
