Follow up to previous topic - new question.

[link to this post]

Hi again everyone,

After the last topic and talking with Zen I think I've isolated my erratic SNR on MAX to three things, the internal wiring (removed the BT faceplate), switched the filter and removed my cordless BT cordless phone and extension lead.

My money goes on it being the extension lead since its in a bit of a mess, but until I monitor the SNR tonight (which went funky last night causing several intermittent loss of sync's) its all speculation. However since I can't move my phone nearer to the filter, I am wondering if its possible if any good Zen customers know of a good extension lead which will not kill the SNR again. As much as I'd like to leave things like this its probably not a good idea in the long term.

Again, any help is appreciated.

Jamie

I'm not sure where but I know you can get extensions which are wired with CAT 5 cable, these are MUCH better. Another alternative is to put the router by the master socket and use a long cat 5 cable to connect to your PC (obviously not everyone can do this).

AHHA, I didn't know clarity did them, I will file that away in the dust cobweb filled cupboard at the back of my memory to resurface again at the most opportune moment
