I don't think it's an actual DDOS (but it doesn't say how many packets it's blocked) but most of the 'dodgy stuff' I find comes from China

Yep - thats normal.

If I could I'd block *all* of the APNIC address space but alas I can't.

Blocking the whole of the Asia Pacific region's IP Addresses? A touch excessive. What have the Aussies (for example) done to deserve that?

heh.

Still no reason to block them all. (not yet anyway. heh)

And are we just talking about blocking access to/from addresses or are we talking compleate BGP bitbucket style ?

Anyway no public ISP or network manager could *ever* really* do something like that. You at home could if you want to - if you run iptables / sendmail etc there is nothing to stop you as an end user blocking who/whatever you want.

Just remember when you dont get email, or can't access sites etc its a choice *you* made, not one the provider made.

So you'd like Zen deciding what web sites you can and can't go to?

That would be one of the side effects of Zen blocking any IPs...
