Zen Billing: Change of credit details

[link to this post]

I want to change the credit card I use to pay for my Zen service. I cannot find anywhere in the Portal where I can key in my new card details. Can the change be made online or do I have to phone Billing?

I don't think that there is anywhere on the portal to do it (certainly haven't seen anywhere), so you're probably best phoning Zen accounts.

Be careful when you do, They bill you instantly for the next payment.
I never did get an answer as to why.

Out of curiosity, are Zen one of those ISPs who will only accept monthly payments via credit card, rather than by Direct Debit?

They accept monthly payments by debit card, certainly "manually" (i.e. you pay the invoice online) and afaik automatically if you prefer.

They accept:
Direct Debit
Standing Order
One-Off Credit/Debit Card Payments
Recurring Credit/Debit Card Payments
Cheque

And I'm sure if you lived in Rochdale they would probably cash invoice payments at the reception desk. To sum, it up, Zen don't seem to care how they get paid, so long as they are paid, and they don't seem to be quick at cutting you off for being a bit late with payment, I know one company I used forgot to post in the cheque 2 months running and hadn't been reading their reminders. Zen didn't cut them off, and just sent a thank you when they received the payment.

When you get your next email telling you when they're going to take the money from your card there's a link in the email to change your details.

You can't do it, as far as I'm aware, online until you get the email.

"Please note that if you enter new card details your new card will be debited immediately, rather than on the renewal date."

"Were I to alter my details today and the new card was debited straight away when would the next billing date be? Two months time?"

Yup.
