How much do you charge for an hour's work ? Rather ironic that someone (who I suspect) is in the legal profession wants to argue about hourly rates

Sweet, in that case BT owe me a ton of money for not turning up at booked appointments!

Feel free to have a sensible discussion on the increase of the engineering visit costs, but I see no useful reason to have a go at someone even if it is given a smiley to make it look more friendly.

A lot depends on what you get for the

No one is having a go and the smiley was genuine. Instead of reading more into the words than is intended it might be an idea to look at the link I have provided.

In the thread of last month Zedebee and I discussed at length the reasons for these costs. I don't care what BT charge for the callout and that isn't the point I was making. I'm only trying to show why BT charge and why it is in the ISP's and customer's interest to resolve the problem before an engineer is requested to eliminate a chargeable cost.

I think everything that needed to be said was said last time, and the fact that BT have now decided to maximise their profits by charging more really hasn't changed anything.

Well for what it's worth as an MVP i provide a local service for free and always have done hence I'm an MVP. All of my services have always been free and always will be. If i charged the bt rate which is unbelievably high i would be very wealthy indeed. I have no time for people that charge that sort of rate as it does great damage to the country as a whole and exploit's the average member of the public
