Router Troubleshooting Query

[link to this post]

Hi,

I've just discovered the following whilst using the troubleshooter on my Voyager 2110 router :-

Test the connection to your local network
Test your Ethernet Connection: PASS
Test your Wireless Connection: PASS

Test the connection to your ADSL service provider
Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS
Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: FAIL
Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: FAIL

Test the connection to your Internet service provider
Test PPP server connection: PASS
Test authentication with ISP: PASS
Test the assigned IP address: PASS
Ping default gateway: PASS

I've been having line problems since January (I posted about them here) - as I am on Zen's LLU are those failures because of Zen not responding to pings or are they something to be concerned about ?

"are they something to be concerned about ?"

The stuff that matters all passes. Stuff that doesn't matter fails. I don't think it's directly LLU related; I see something similar on IPstream on my Voyager 2100.

More routers should have this level of one-button diagnostic, but if they did, there'd be more people worried about the inconsequential "failures" .
