Please forgive what may be an obvious question.
I have recently signed up to Zen8000 Lite and have been checking my speed using several Speed tests.
Using
www.speedtester.bt.com I get the following values:
IP Profile 6500kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 (Up) 7616 (Down)
Actual IP throughput achieved during test was - 6230 kbps
All other Speed testers I have used (thinkbroadband, DSLZoneUK + others) give a Download value of approx 2800kbps.
Why does the BT test give 6230 and all others give 2800?
What is my true download speed, and if it is the lower value what can I do to improve it as all tests on the line etc say I should be good for 7Mbps?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
