connection problems last night.

at about 8 o clock last night i lost connection too the internet, i unplugged the router and i then had a connection, but it was syning at 320k, i did a speed test and i was getting something like 177k download.

i then reset the router and it was showing 3.5 meg downstream,which is about what i normally get, but i checked it again 10 mins later and again it was showing a connection speed of 320 on the router.

This happened 3 times last night, but so far this morning its been fine again, anyone get any problems last night or was it my end.

No problems last night. Sounds like it may have been your line (or the local exchange) - perhaps weather-related? - rather than your router, but if it's all working fine now then I guess we may never know.

Keep an eye on it, if it happens again take a note of the line stats (SNR, attenuation etc.) from the router.

i made a note of the line stats last night, they where the same as normal, only difference was the download speed on the router was awful.

im using a different router than i was last night, and so far no problems. if it says ok for the next few days ill put the router back in, if it plays up ill bin it.
