I've muttered this a few times, but I am itching for Zen to come out of the static products slumber it's in and release some new products, options and services - it doesn't even have to be up to 24 meg, but the format is old and increasingly inflexible.
I spoke to some product manager at Zen *months* ago about it and they were supposedly around the corner. Is anyone at Zen able to shed at least a little light that Zen is going to be doing something.
I'm in the position that as much as Zen's customer services/support is good, the product is now lacking compared to the rest of the market, leaving me with no choice but to go elsewhere.
Am I the only one in this position, or do others have the same situation - judging by the number of people I've seen say they've left Zen, I suspect it's a creeping problem that's going to get worse - especially as I don't think I've seen anything yet suggesting it was for any reason other than (as the cancellation form puts it "Poor product features").
Anyone else with me?

So what products do you think Zen are lacking, that you will be seeking elsewhere?

Believe me the grass isn't always greener, I made a brief foray into the world of o2 access and it was a disaster so I was glad to come back, also looking on the o2/be forums lately things aren't great in LLU land so I don't feel that I'm missing out on anything except a lot of grief

I cant see too much Zen can actually do to improve there products cause they rely completely on the BT wholesale network. BT havent really released the 16/24mbit adsl2 services yet and nationwide wont for ages. So all Zen can do is change there pricing model or caps with there current upto 8mbit services.
Personaly i think Zens pricing model is quite decent only thing i think maybe needs to be changed is the caps i find them slightly low. Oh and the price Zen charge for buying more bandwidth when you run out what is it now 1.50 per 1gb? its very high.

Therioman,
Can you say what you would like to see. I am not a products manager, however I know management have been looking into changing things to help bring back lost customers and to keep old ones. And as you may well appreciate, this takes time. We don't want to rush things and then find that we made a bad choice on behlf of our customers.
By asking what you would like to see and gain opinions it can help us define what you want/need from us.
I am sure one of the management team will be replying to this post aswell, and will hopefully be able to give you more insight into when/if new products will be released and what they may be. However unitl then Therioman I hope that you and others will take the time to let us know what you would like to see.
Kindest Reagrds,

If I can join in: personally, I'd like to see a product with a download cap between Lite's 5GB and Active's 25GB. Probably something with a 10GB limit. I suspect there are other users like me for whom 5GB is just a bit too low most months but who don't need anything like 25GB.
I know it's possible to do what I'm now doing - having recently switched to Lite - which is top up with banked usage and still come out paying less than if I were still on Active; but it's a bit messy doing things that way. So how about Zen 8000 Medium (or some such name) with a 10GB limit?

As someone who has recently changed ISP I did consider Zen but just found the package not competitive enough !!
I myself would class Zen,Idnet and Newnet as similar types of ISPs all offering a very good consistent service but as an example the Newnet package of 12GB a month for 17-95 is more competitive than the Zen package .
I hope I have not upset Zen members by my comments but as an outsider making this statement it is my opinion and the reason why i did not join Zen
But must add Newnet packages are not perfect and could also be improved as the reason i migrated from them was that prepaid bandwidth could not be carried over to the next month which i believe Zen do allow

I wonder if some sort of mix-n-match scheme could be employed such as some mobile providers do?
