Hi Everyone,
Would like to hear from anyone who has been using Zen on FTTC recently and what your experiences have been so far. Any slowdowns at peak times, latency, any throttling? etc etc.
Looking at the full Office Fibre Plus with traffic priority.
Thanks for your help, cheers

Hi Everyone,
I'm with ADSL+2 on Be and can only just cope, 5Mb/1Mb on a 4.2Km Line so FTTC is a no brainer. I'm 200M from my enabled Cab so looking at the best provider (Low Contention, Low Latency, No Throttling, Speed at Peak Times, etc).
How does Zen compare?
Thanks for your feedback

... (Low Contention, Low Latency, No Throttling, Speed at Peak Times, etc). ...
We don't throttle any of our connections at all. At 200 Metres from the cab the latency should also be Low. Contention will be very low (i don't know the exact figure) and as for Speed at peak times, this will be the same as the speed at non-peak times.
Kindest Regards,

Can one of the Zen guys on here answer a question regarding the installation process? My master socket is currently in the hall but I would like it moving to my study - is this something that could be done by the installer or do I have to get BT round to do it?

Hi
Unfortunately we cant move your master socket during installation but we can arrange for an extension kit up to 30m in length to be installed during the installation process.

My understanding of the Data Extension kit it its basically a long ethernet cable between the Master socket and the BT modem...
If you want to move the Master socket you can arrange that with BT separately (prior to ordering Fibre), but they will charge you for it.

Unless I am very much mistaken Zen don't do the install anyway - BT Openreach do. BT quite happily moved my master socket despite the fact I was happy where it was !!!
