Hmm.
Phone Zen today and told the facts as they were, the chap I spoke to said from Zen's end my IP profile was showing 7.5Mbps, then said he could hear noise on my line during the conversation and blamed that for causing a throughput issue (as opposed to IP profile) and told me to contact BT after running a quiet line test. I was not very satisfied by that explanation to be polite and phoned back a few minutes later and got through to someone else who, when I explained the BT speedtest website is showing right in front of my face an IP profile of 2Mbps and that my download speeds are 2Mbps, he asked me to send a screenshot of this so they can escalate to BT...
Since then the BT speedtest website simply refuses to progress further than Checking User Details... absolutely marvellous.
I could be wrong and will hold my hands up if this is the case, but considering my f8lure graph shows absolutely no problems, sync speed is 8Mbps with no dropouts, line stats perfect, router showing no errors, and I feel my connection is fault-free, I was not very impressed by the first explanation that I received
BT need a good kick up the jaxi and fix this pathetic speedtest website they run - been "Checking user details" for the past 30 minutes now... I wouldn't mind too much but other members in the house are complaining they have no internet connectivity because I actually did as BT want and made sure this PC is the only one connected.
