Who do I ring to arrange relocating a Master Socket, Zen or BT?
If the later, any ideas how to contact them?
I really hope this is something I could organise through Zen as my past experiences dealing with BT were frustrating to an extreme.

It's probably BT as they 'own' the Master Socket. They will probably want a charge to move it.
Good luck with finding a number for BT- I've spent hours being told to try a different number / department in trying to resolve problems in the past.
Hope you like Indian Call-Centres and Hold-Music !

If your phone line is provided by us (Zen) then we are the ones to call.

sounds like it might be worth switching phone providers then
Would Zen instruct the work to BT under those circumstances? And would we be paying Zen or BT for the job (or both!)
Thanks

yeah, that was my experience too, which is why I really dont want to go through it all again with BT.

Yes if you switch your line to Zen we would be happy to arrange an NTE5 shift with BT on your behalf. You would only pay Zen not BT.

Is it shortening or lengthening the cable?

Hi Ajays
Sorry to resurrect this topic, but we have now been with Zen for voice calls since late last year, and would now like to initiate a move of our master socket. How best should I proceed with this?
Currently we have to install ADSL filters in every extension round the house. Ideally we would like the master socket relocating (with a longer cable from the street to the socket, which would be in a room at the back of the building instead of the front as at present) and have a newer modern filtered faceplate, so all the extensions wired backwards off it would not need to have separate microfilters.
Thanks
