Do you have any idea why you were attacked?

Virgin (ADSL) => Namesco => Newnet => O2 => Plusnet => Zen => Newnet => Zen Lite 8000
Note: I don't lay turf for anyone. astro or otherwise, all views and opinions expressed are my own based on experience.

My only option was to regrade to an 8 IP option, which would reset my IP to a new one. This alleviated the subsequent attacks, but of course I fear if my new IP is exposed this could quite easily occur again.


Ignoring the need or otherwise, it's a shame Zen couldn't have been less wasteful in having to allocate /29 to someone instead of just a single new IP given the shortage of IPv4. Seems a waste of IP given the original issue being solved...
