Time to go?

[link to this post]

I've just seen in the General Broadband section that Vivaciti offer a partial LLU service. With no sign of 24mb at my exchange, currently on Max, and TT LLU available I would be able to get 24mb over TT LLU equipment and connect to Vivaciti. Has Zen any plans to offer a similar service in the future before I get my MAC code?

Seems Vivaciti is not in the list of ISPs for MAC code, what do I select, Unknown?

Probably..

MACs are not generated specifically for a gaining ISP.

So if I put Entanet it dont matter? Just there is an important note above the drop down effectively saying enter ISP for MAC code.

No, it won't matter.

It could be they want to know where there customers are going.

Well my Zen cancellation notes now say Cease due 29/11/11 from BT. So looks like switchover will take place around then, gone with Vivaciti.

I moved from Zen to Vivaciti years ago to their Entanet platform. Moved to their LLU platform when this was available, again no real problems. Move to sky for other reasons a few months ago and dropped from a Vivaciti LLU of 9M to 7M with sky. All changes were done by Vivaciti as and when I asked. Still run my web site via them. Would move back in the future. No problem recommending Vivaciti.

Hi Tim,

Great shame to see you go, but understand the reasons for doing so.

Your migration away should be seamless but any questions, give us a shout.

All the best,
Brian

Brian my Switchover date is 29th, with you being in provisioning now do you know what's involved in switching me over to using Talk Talk Business Tails from BT? New line card or just wiring change to MSAN?

Hi Tim,

Should be both. You'll be conencting to the Talk Talk equipment and they'll also allocate specific tie pairs to use.

I'd expect a short outage of your broadband and phone line whilst the changes are being made.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks Brian. Well looks like BT hasn't done their tricks and my Zen account has expired, I thought Zen would wait to cease when they had been notified the work was done by Openreach? Consequently I'm posting this on dialup LOL
