Claficiation of LLU please

I'm hoping someone could clarify the term LLU for me.. It seems I've only just realised the term LLU is misused as an ISP having their own hardware in an exchange, when it just means the exchange is 'opened' to other ISPs right? So what is the term for say Zen having their own hardware in selective exchanges?

LLU refers to carriers other than BT having equipment in the exchange. Many ISPs don't have their own equipment, but piggyback on that of others. Zen uses BT as their carrier, except in the handful of places they have their own equipment, but some other ISPs use different providers' equipment when it is available.
