Free Fibre Optic Broadband insall and free router

Just received the latest Zen Internet Newsletter into my inbox and was presented with the great news of fibre optic broadband - http://www.zen.co.uk/home-office/broadband/fibre-opt...

So I headed over to check my broadband speed results(Haven't had the need to check for over 2 years) and thinking that my exchange would have fibre enabled.....

So waiting for the results, like a kid in toys 'r' us store !!!! ..... until the results came back with this
Line enabled for Fibre Broadband: No

Gutted doesn't come close to what I felt when I saw the results :'''( {sniff}

I upgraded as soon as my cab was enabled in November after about a year of messages saying fibre would be available at the end of the quarter .... always at the end of the quarter.

Too late for the BT half price offer - too early for the Zen free offer.

Story of my life.

If you look closely though, the offer is for 24 months. So for the price of the installation you can change after 12 months. Not that you will of course ... but perhaps other reliable ISPs (BE* are you listening ) would be offering Fibre and be cheaper by that time.

I booked my install last week, which won't happen until 8 January. However, I'll stick with my paid for install - though I don't foresee the need to leave Zen, I'd rather pay for install and be on a 12 month contract than have free install and be on a 24 month contract.
