Zen line install charges

This may be obvious to some but i cant seam to find it, Dose any one know the charges ZEN have for new line installs i current have 1 line with sky and then a second line that used to be with plusnet but has since been disconnected so at the min dormant this is the one i want zen on, When i go onto the zen home page to order fibre + phone it askes me to enter my current BT number which i obviously dont have because there is current no number on the line so want to know how much they charger for new activations

I tried to ring but offices are closed till the morning and thought i might get a reply here by then

They charge about £11 for reactivating an inactive line - since you have two lines in the house best to ring sales so you can be sure they have identified the correct line.

you were right its just over £11 with VAT, I should of asked this on the phone but do you know the difference between a business package and a home package other than the business unlimited fibre 2 is £25 + £17 phone (£42) and on home unlimited fibre 2 its £30 + £15.44 Phone (£45.44) so actually the business one works out cheaper and usually its the other way around the descriptions are exactly the same so dont make too much sense

The Business packages will not include VAT, where as the prices on the Home packages will have the VAT included.

As already posted business packages are quoted excluding VAT but also the business phone package is more expensive (£17+vat against £15.44 inc VAT) but daytime call rates are cheaper.

Interestingly whenever I go to Zen's website it defaults to one of the business pages where all prices are VAT-free. You have to specifically select "home/home office" to get the VAT-inclusive prices.

No idea why it should default to the business pages unless they are in the process of morphing into a business-oriented ISP and gradually withdrawing from the consumer market.

Zen have always been a business orientated ISP, and for at least the past 7 years the homepage has defaulted to the business pages.

I doubt there is any danger of withdrawing from the consumer market. Especially as most of the consumer products are just the business products with VAT added on.
