Trying to discover whether Zen supports ipv6, I came across this link:

Is Zen now fully prepared then, as it is March 2014?

No it doesn't.

This question was being posed to them a decade ago when I was a customer with them, and their position on IPv6 still remains one of mystery today. They will not disclose much (if anything) regarding their plans or any ETA. So I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I plan to move back to Zen next month though. The IPv6 issue can be easily solved with a tunnel but obviously native (what I have right now) is better. Unfortunately, it's becoming a bit unworkable being on a metered connection and Zen are the only other quality ISP I know of (and have been with previously) where the connection seems stable, reliable, fast and unmetered.

I've heard complementary things about Aquiss recently, they do unlimited FTTC with IPv6.

Zen have no plans to provide IPV6, although they say (and have been doing so for years) that they are testing it.
There is a thread on the Zen forum, and the latest official statement from Zen says " However, in short - there are no plans in the near-term to provide IPv6 support for customers on our Broadband services"

Yes, I was aware of Aquiss but it would be pricey. £13/month line rental straight off. Then their unlimited FTTC 80/20 package (1 IP) comes in at £40/month. Grand total £53 a month.

Zen on the other hand is £45.44 a month for 80/20 FTTC inclusive of line rental, but no native IPv6.

(I'm not taking into account any call package details on the above as I don't use my landline for that).

So I think I'm still going to go with Zen.

I'd be very interested in an update on this.

I'd also be quite willing to be a guinea pig for any trials that they may be running. I'd had native v6 for a few years with my Entanet connection until I migrated to Zen in January.

I'm happy with the service, but would definitely be interested in getting native v6 back again. Having to make do with a he.net tunnel at the moment..

We will be doing IPv6, however at the moment I can not give you a Date as to when it will be provided.

Is it likely to be within the next year? 3 years? 5 years?

Any plans for any kind of trials? Any hints would be appreciated.

ha. the IPv6 question. Same response in 2005,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14.......

You are either doing this or not. For now, like others have said, its alleged that the assumption is, "Zen is not doing IPv6".

"Say what you do, Do what you say, Prove it!!!"

It's a shame.

I was a very happy Aquiss customer before reluctantly moving away as they could not provide ADSL2+ at the time (went with Be through O2).

Really wanted to go back with them for fibre but they just couldn't compete on price. Over £7.50pm overall more than an already premium provider was unjustifiable for me.

We have several parts of the network that need to be Replaced/Upgraded to allow it to be done properly. As such no timeline and no time guide can be given.

I am sorry, and I understand the frustration as I am also waiting.

It is a shame that Zen don't know their plans to upgrade/replace their network. Perhaps 5 years isn't enough time to plan things
