ZyXEL VMG1312, which is normally free of charge for new customers. I'm fairly certain the same router is offered on the business fibre packages, though there is the option for a discounted
ZyXEL VMG8924 in place of the VMG1312.
I am using an Openreach Huawei HG612 with pfSense as a router, so cannot comment on the Zen routers, other than to observe that ZyXEL kit is normally pretty good. The
VMG1312 uses a Broadcom chipset and seems well regarded on the kitz forums. The VMG1312
can be bridged if you wish to use your own PPPoE router behind it, though I still believe
you're limited to a WAN MTU of 1492 in that configuration, unlike with a HG612.
