Anyone from Zen comment on when G.Fast will be available?
I am connected to the Goodmayes Exchange.
Would be great to get some time lines on the availability.

Hi Snake,
In late 2015 we connected our first G.Fast customer as part of the Openreach technical Trial.
In the coming weeks we will be participating in the next round of trials in the form of a pilot.
We'll be contacting eligible customers inviting them to take part and providing details of costs and estimated speeds etc.
Following a successful pilot we'll aim to launch G.Fast at the earliest opportunity.
At the moment I can't be more specific on dates as it all depends on how the pilot goes and BT's launch plans.

HI Ajay,
Is there any chance I can be on the trail I really really want to be on a faster connection. If you can message me privately if there is the slightest possibility.

Kash

Unfortunately I don't believe the Goodmayes exchange is covered by the G.Fast pilot. At least not at the moment.
Keep an eye on our blog as I'm sure we'll be posting updates!

Was your cabinet completed under BT's commercial programme?
The G.fast deployment plans should be released at some point this year. Hopefully around summer time, we should get a better picture of where/when.

Was your cabinet completed under BT's commercial programme? Are there any plans for G-Fast for AIO cabs? We have a community funded AIO cab serving our development of 75 properties in central London (SW9). The cab is sited at the entrance to the development so speeds and distance shouldn't be a problem.

Dont know, how I can i find out?

Try here https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm
If it doesn't say BDUK, it should be under BT's commercial programme

It will be a case of wait and see unfortunately.

Can't see BDUK anywhere it only states operator British Telecom

It will be commercial being in London

No, not at present
|
|
|
|
No because it's an AIO or because it was community funded?
I'm not concerned about the "not at present" but having contributed towards the cost of a network rearrangement and installation of an AIO cab I can't see our residents being too happy at having to find further funds to move to the next step.
|
|
|
|
Because it's an AIO. Don't know if the funding would have a subsequent impact.

Thank you.
I appreciate that current G-Fast pods are unlikely to be compatible with an AIO. I would hope that the original source of funding for the cab is irrelevant moving forward. The contract I signed simply said that the cab would become part of the BT estate and I seem to recall having an e-mail stating that once commissioned it would be considered no differently from any other BT cab. Let's hope that is the case.

Which cabinet are you on here? https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm?xid=1...
Just looked up mine and my postcode is split between two cabinets, is there a way of finding which cabinet?
