Do you want to help shape the future of Zen? We have some ambitious plans for the future, but we would like you � our customers � to help shape our direction of travel.

To make sure we forge a future fit for everyone, we�d like to make that an official part of Zen�s ongoing product and service development process.

To that end, we're setting up a Zen User Group. We want you to give us true and honest feedback on our service and to offer opinions and suggestions on our plans for the future.

The group will meet up quarterly, either in person or via Skype to discuss and review forthcoming product developments.

We may also want to ask the group questions between meetings to test ideas or get more immediate feedback on important initiatives.

We will give the group early access to new or proposed products and services for testing and review.

We are currently looking to recruit members of the group. The only qualification is that you are a current Zen customer and are happy to join occasional discussions.

If attendance in person is ever required, we will of course reimburse you for all expenses incurred, and offer a small gift as a thank you for your trouble.

The idea is to consult the Zen User Group early in the development of any products or services. Of course welcome constructive criticism as much as we appreciate a pat on the back. We can only learn from our mistakes when we know we�ve made them.

A contract is just that, a contract! you are liable for al costs as you agreed when you signed up!

Yes - and Zen are liable to provide the service, or in your mind does a contract ONLY apply to the customer?

If a company stops providing the service, for no apparent reason what right do they then have to enforce the very contract they broke?

For over ten years Zen had served me well and I had recommended them to quite a few friends and colleagues, then I upgraded to VDSL and only three months into my new contract period, like a lot of other unfortunate Zen customers at that time, I was forced to suffer dramatic single thread performance degradation, during the working day and evening, whilst full performance returned from around midnight until the start of the next working day, for over four months before Zen upgraded their London hub.

Throughout this entire period Zen totally refused to release me from my contract.
Some 18 months later, although my VDSL quality of service has not had any further problems I now check it regularly with a view to departing quickly if it even starts to deteriorate once again, and now provide very different advice to any of my friends and colleagues foolish enough to continue to ask for my opinion of different ISPs.

But, when Zen had their single thread problem I could often achieve a faster single thread connection using a guest login on my next door neighbours weak HomeHub BT Fon 40-10 service.

Apart from those four months my Zen VDSL has been very good;

I am lucky to have a relatively short distance between my property and the roadside FTTC cabinet, so this is the typical performance of my VDSL when Zen do not have an unresolved problem;
