Outage 7pm 6th October

It seems that my Zen FTTC was down for an hour or so from 7pm today.

The Zen service status page asserts that there was an outage limited to connections using IPv6 through a gateway in London, but this is in Yorkshire using IPv4.

I don't think sync was lost, but there was no connectivity at all and it has come back with far higher latency.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

It was definitely a gateway in London that had an issue with one of it's linecards, but as the status page said, this was only used to forward a relatively small number of IPv6 connections onto. Are you sure you've never asked for IPv6? Even if you weren't using it, your connection will still be forwarded to an IPv6 capable gateway - so that could explain it.

I'm a little concerned about the extra latency since it came back though. How much are we talking? This might be something to get support to look into, but happy to have a quick look over if you PM me your username.
