Is anyone else suffering again from poor speed on the Single Threaded Download Test on the Thinkbroadband Speedtest?
Especially Scotland in the Perth area and surrounding villages.
Noticed this on Thursday and has been like it all Weekend
Generally a Normal Speed Test
One from Thurs 11th
Like that all weekend, any time of day
Latest Test 15th
Will give a couple of more days to see if it returns to normal, then if not will drop Zen an Email.

You are not alone. There is a similar thread going on IDNetters for two IDNet customers on a Zen backhaul option.
There is also a shed load of engineering work going on at the moment if you look at the Zen website.

Has your back haul change been done?

Has your back haul change been done?
A bit off-topic on the Zen sub-forum, but it's due tomorrow.

I wont say too much as I will get accused of being against small ISPs, but I have seen an increase in complaints on multiple forums.
As the story goes, you pay more therefore your Customer Service will be second to none and the issues will be resolved super fast.

Interesting stuff.
If you take a look here, you'll see that from midnight Sunday (14th), speed tests have dropped, consistently, to around 90% of what they originally were (so now clocking in at 45 Mbps rather than 50 Mbps).
Something has gone south for sure. Pointing the finger at Zen for this one (on IDNet using Zen backhaul). Not really fussed to raise a support ticket just yet to have backhaul switched, but I find it's interesting watching issues like this.

Just to point out to people on this thread Stanley exchange is not Zen back haul most likely TTB or BTW.
For those of us who research things before passing comments.

Hi Pete, If you PM me your details I'll happily get our support team on the case!

Seeing the same on Cloudscape, they use Vodafone backhaul.
They also are in the middle of some network upgrades, hopefully next week they will be online.
Time will tell....
Athough latest speedtest seems better?

Have taken a look at the peak vs off peak and single versus multiple thread results overall for Zen
And while when I search by hand all the results I can find people with the issue, the overall statistics suggest that things are not falling apart.
Put another way, in the evenings the single thread median figure is actually 1 Mbps higher than the daytime one, but this does flip flop from month to month as the sample sizes at Zen are too small for this to figure in the main news.
