Anyone else been having issues with their Zen ADSL connection over the last couple of days in particular? Speeds dropping down to almost zero and ping times of greater than 2 secs. I did speak to technical support yesterday and they said that there has been some problems on their network lately; however this shouldn't have effected me? Well, clearly it has, as I've been having the same nonsense again today.
No fibre here. Just a poor quality piece of wet string with an attenuation of 68dB..
Interested in other people's findings before I kick up a fuss again...
Thanks,
Dan

Alas, it is not just you that has had a previously rock solid service corrupted by the new routing that has occurred this week.
My feed of prices from advfn has repeatedly timed out during this week and even my Zen email service has decided to repeatedly question the password for my Zen mailhost whilst my other independent mailhost provider has remained rock solid.
This time, I am no longer locked into an initial contract period, so if things do not stabilise quickly...............................

Yes, I've had speed issues both last evening (24/1) and earlier this morning.
For my FTTP service (76Mbps down & 20Mbps up) tbb speed tester for single thread test was reporting slow download speeds (15 to 20Mbps) but now seems to be OK.
Hope it's just a temporary network blip?

No problems here in West Lancashire. (actually now the southern tip of what is left of Lancashire before somebody messed up the old county boundaries.)
Line One:- Zen Fibre 1 - DrayTek Vigor 2860ac
Line Two:- Andrews and Arnold - DrayTek Vigor 130 Modem

It did get a bit emasculated, didn't it?

Two examples are West Lancashire Golf Club and West Lancashire Yacht Club. Neither if which is anywhere near Lancashire!

How are people's Zen connection doing today? Mine has settled down, although packet loss is still much higher than I'd like and latency has also increased...
Thanks,
Dan

Unfortunately Zen have wrecked my once rock solid VDSL service.
So it looks as if I will be giving Andrews and Arnold a try.

Yes, mine hasn't been great.
Had a spell of it dropping the connection - twice for much longer than a brief spell too. If I check something like 'what's my location', I seem to have moved (routing I suppose). Tells me I'm in Edinburgh now, earlier in the week it was Colchester, and previously for a long time, near Kensall Green, which used to be very good, and even better was a long spell in the Westminster area.
Richard at tech services was very helpful, but although the connection has been fine this past two days, I'm getting delays in email downloading, images loading slowly, even pages hesitating before appearing.
Everything speed-wise and SNR looks pretty good - just isn't working as well as it looks.
I do know a lot of maintenance/repair work has been happening lately - could that be the cause I wonder, or perhaps somebody working on the system altered something ..who knows. Hard to tell, but it's not perfect at all.

I've been seeing the same peak time problems for the last couple of weeks and have documented my findings here - http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/zen/f/4581803-poor-...
Sad to see Zen's service deteriorating like this and time for me to consider moving on I'm afraid as browsing at peak times is far from fluid due to the massive increase in latency

Glad its not just me (although sorry you are having problems)
I have been having the same issues for weeks, if not months. 70+ solid in the morning/early afternoon. Sometimes struggling to get above 10mbps down in the evenings.
Initially thought it was my router, so invested in a new one - didn't fix it.
Reported via the guys on here who found a fault on the line - had that fixed and all seemed back to normal however, again this week, experiencing unusable speeds in the evenings and running out of patience.
