I am using the Zen-supplied Fritz!Box 3490. It does an adequate job

David

BT (poor) -> Zen (excellent) -> O2 (started well, went downhill -> IDNet (No complaints - but 100GB cap) -> Zen (unlimited-and now ipv6!l) but huge packet loss

Something like the Billion 8900AX, Netgear D7800, Asus DSL-AC88U or TP Link VR2800 if you want the very best - these are all Wave2 4x4 Mu-Mimo wifi routers. They're not cheap though, but perhaps not surprising given their spec.

The TP Link VR900v2 is a good cheaper router reasonably priced around £100. Its not as good as the above (its only 3x3) but for the money its a great router. Also worth considering the Netgear D7000 as its a decent router, currently on sale at Argos at only £100 (usually priced at £150-£160)

If you want to spend less than £100 then consider one of Netgear D6400, Billion 8800NL or TP Link W9970. These are decent budget routers.

The Netgear D7000 was the one I was pondering, it is available in lots of places and has lots of help because it appears to be quite common. I will take a look at the D7800 that you mentioned though. Thanks very much for the pointers!

I recently purchased the D7000v2, I've seen WiFi issues and started this thread for guidance.

I imagine the Argos units are "v2", but I got mine from Amazon.
