Yes. In the "Wireless > Radio Network" section of the Web UI, there's a box labelled "Name of the wireless radio network (SSID)" in which you type the name of your 2.4GHz network. Under that is a tickbox labelled "Different names for the radio network on 2.4 and 5 GHz". If you tick that, a further box appears for you to type in the name of the 5 GHz network.

I have two repeaters connected to my F!B in a mesh and the box just does its own thing. It finds the 'best' channel and individual devices switch seamlessly between 2.4 and 5Ghz.
Can I ask why? I have the 7590 with a Fritz!repeater and 3 Sky Q boxes and using the one name for the Mesh works flawlessly.
I know this is an old thread but a good reason for separate names is that some so called smart devices can only connect to 2.4. Trying to set them up will often fail if the SSID is shared.
