Regrade from DSL to FTTP, will there be downtime?

Hi all,

will be getting regraded from Zen DSL to Zen FTTP on Tuesday (provided everything gets sorted on the first Openreach visit).

I forgot to ask when I ordered if there is any downtime or can I just move my physical connection from the Openreach DSL modem to the Openreach ONT and it will come up straight away?

Obviously working from home like many at the moment, so could do with knowing.

Can ask support on Monday but wondered if anyone here has experience.

FYI.
FTTP Installed but had to wait 1.5 hours for it to become active.

Zen told me this was due to it being a re-grade and they had to wait for openreach and BT Wholesale to acknowledge that the install had been done, before Zen could request the activation of the FTTP and cancellation of the DSL.

Had an email on the working DSL to say that I could now move over to FTTP, so both DSL and FTTP were working for a short period.

Just moved the Airport Extreme connection from the DSL modem to the ONT and the existing PPPOE credentials worked fine.

Good to know, I may be tempted if the prices ever drop to a comparable level to my existing FTTC line.
