Frequent DSL synchronisation errors

[link to this post]

For the past couple of months I've had pretty frequent DSL synchronisation faults where my Zen connection drops completely, reporting a PPPoE error.

Here's a photo of my recent logs from the Fritzbox https://ibb.co/W0Kv5jh I was lucky for a good couple of days and then the disconnects continued today. I've previously had days where the DSL error happened 5 or more times.

After raising this with Zen they obviously immediately offloaded it onto Opeanreach, resulting in three separate visits.

During one of these visits the engineer could not find a fault with the connection coming into the property however he still decided to run a new line due to the wiring looking a bit old. My Masterplug was also replaced.
After the fault continued I carried on pestering Zen and a further two visits by Openreach produced no further result.

I've tried using alternative equipment by replacing the Fritzbox router with a Draytek modem and my own router and still had issues.

I'm unsure how to proceed with this as Zen do not seem to believe there's anything wrong on their end even though Openreach say their side is fine.

Any ideas?

Do you have other stats from the router, SNR, attenuation, sync rates, error counts and the like ?

Weird intermittent sync loss faults like this *might* be due to a duff DSLAM port at the cabinet. Sometimes a high upstream FEC error rate can be indicative of this.

High downstream errors, and I’d think more towards an HR fault, or possibly even some minor REIN source.

Good luck getting it fixed

Thanks for the reply.

This is from yesterday. https://ibb.co/PZX0WvD and here's the statistics from the last week https://ibb.co/M2vKp6D
Also here's the attenuation https://ibb.co/PWQCbwS

Unsure how to get further stats. Hope this helps tho?
