Planned outages

I recently moved to Zen with CityFibre for the last month or so. I believe on May 1st early in the morning my connection dropped, so I checked Zen's service status page and it turned out there was a "planned outage" in my telephone code area. then last night on the 17th at around midnight my connection dropped again and this time there was no planned outage in my area. My connection returned around 1am.

I checked Zen service status page today and apparently I'm due another planned outage on the 19th-20th 23:00-5:00.

How common are these outages? It's kinda annoying as I'm a night owl and they keep happening when I'm in the middle of doing something.

Do they detail the nature of these outages? as an example are they on Zens infrastructure, or the supplier (Cityfibre).

I've been impacted by these too; FWIW I have been with Zen / CityFibre for around 2 years and this is not the norm

It says these are status updates from their suppliers rather than themselves, there are ref numbers starting PW and BT. I'm guessing the PW stuff is CityFibre.. But it might be other suppliers also, I'm not sure if zen have deals with other Fibre networks.

Thats good to know it isn't normal. I guess it's fine if it's related to them building the network. I just hope it calms down.
