As title says, i have been noticing some peak time jitter levels on the BQM doesn't appear thus far to be through put impacting, but it really should not be there, IMO, any other Zen FTTC customers seeing similar? on Zen's GEA network.
UPDATE it is NOW SERVICE AFFECTING SINGLE THREAD IS 50% of what I PAY for OVERLOADED MANCHESTER LINKS !!!!!!!!!!! PEAK TIME BS IS NOT WHAT ZEN SHOULD SUPPLY. This IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH ZEN

Jitter is the difference or variation in round trip delay between successive packets going to the same destination from the same source. Think of it as cars in different lanes which set off at the same time, but arrive at different times. Large jitter values aren’t great for ‘real time’ systems which need predictable delay. Like voice communication over the internet. For other stuff it’s less important.
I don’t think you’re actually talking about jitter.
For a start jitter is not noted / measured, that I’m aware of, in the TBB speed tester. See your own screenshot link. No mention of jitter. Some other speed testers do measure jitter for the record however. Jitter is also not noted on the BQM test results. The measures there are ping time (min, average and max) and packet loss. Not jitter.
So if not jitter what exactly is your complaint about?

To me it is Always A 1st sign of overloaded linx, And when single threaded throughput dives or fluctuates on many source servers that is evident of PILE EM HIGH ,SELL EM CHEAP That even ISP'S LIKE ZEN SADLY HAVE SUCCUMBED TO, NOT ACCEPTABLE for a “PREMIER ISP” imo

We’re still not talking about actual “jitter” though.
What’s your actual BQM look like? Post a link to your live BQM please.
Are you seeing large variations in your speed tests? If so that’s NOT jitter, that could be congestion. But let’s see the BQM

TODAY
The red is ME trying to get onto a UNCONGESTED GATEWAY, but they have blocked access to London, SO I HAVE NO REAL CHOICE , [censored] IMO

Looks like some peak time congestion going on that graph, around 7:30 to 8 pm. However you said you were trying to shift gateways.
Is it the same each evening? If so have you discussed with them?

Is it the same each evening? If so have you discussed with them? oddly NOT every evening, BUT it is PROGRESSIVELY heading that way (becoming more FREQUENT) Was a month ago WEEK ENDS, Now extending into week days, Mr Tang maybe is being undermined, or he is sanctioning this [censored]

If you're unhappy with the Zen service and believe something needs to be fixed (either to the Openreach bit or to the Zen backhaul) then its best to raise it with them as they are the only ones who can look into it for you and if necessary do something about it.

Yes i know, but i was interested to know if there were others Who were AWARE of the is degradation f service during peak hours, Other than me, Because if the masses have no clue why would they listen to 1 man or woman?
