How long to move from one CF provider to another?

I'm currently with Yayzi on a 2gbps down 1gbps up connection for £50 a month. Zen is £55. That's fine.. Might drop to 1gig.

How long would a switch take? I wont need a new ONT ofc so I would hope it be a quick switch over. I dont know how the connection between CF and Yayzi/Zen works so I don't know if someone would have to physically move my connection or if its a beep boop press this and its done

Yayzi is still a new ISP and has been having teething issues on and off and my connection is not as stable as my old VM 1gig connection. Pings are great but downloads are all over the shop.

I am on a 30 day contract with Yayzi though an I can only see 18 month deals from Zen so that's a downside.

I was with Zen way back in 2008 ish on ADSL2. Great support back then. I hope they are still as good.

It took me from 6 to 21 Feb to move from Zen to Briant but that required a CF appointment to change the ONT and a brief wait for the Zen contract to expire.
If the ONT doesn't need changing then the switch ought to be quite quick.

When I switched from Giganet to Aquiss earlier this year (stayed on the same 1Gb package), it was very quick. I was already well out of contract. I ordered before xmas but asked them not to do the switch until the 6th Jan because I wanted to be present when it was done.

00:00 on the 6th Jan Giganet dropped. 00:05 I was live on Aquiss and changing all my DNS records to point to the new static! Most of the downtime was me putting the account details into the router (NOT ISP supplied of course!)

Very quick and efficient. All handled under the one touch switch (Aquiss did it all for me). I must say I was a little worried it would take longer because City Fibre - but in the end that was needless concern!

Does anyone have the 1.8/2 gig package from Zen via CF?

If so would you be able to let me know what kind of download speed you get on Steam (if you use it) please?

Currently with Yayzi steam never downloads at a consistent speed. Jumps around all over the place (its not my hardware) Back on my Virgin 1gig connection it would download at a solid 900Mbps all the time.

Not much help I know, but just in case, I can max Steam out on my 900mbps connection with Zen.
