Yeah, that postcode is covered only by that P6 cab. Yeah, did a speed check for that postcode and got the following:
Exchange Name: Christleton
Exchange Code: WNCHR
Cabinet: 6
Fibre Phase: BDUK Cheshire 11b
Fibre Information: FTTC Available from 3rd April 2014
Result Count: 33
[ch3 6eg]
 Has 10 result(s) connected to Cabinet 6 with FTTC with approximate speeds around the following:
 Range A: 1.4 -> 80.0 (downstream) 0.8 -> 20.0 (upstream)
 Range B: 0.7 -> 80.0 (downstream) 0.5 -> 20.0 (upstream)
 Has 23 result(s) connected to Cabinet 6 with ADSLx with approximate speeds around the following:

It could be an electrical distribution/junction box looking at it's proximity to the electricity pole with the feeder running up it.

Thanks for that Paul but that adds to my confusion! The houses you have listed are not together they are quite spread and two of them are different sides of the road- one at one end and the other the other end!
Can you run the same test for the postcode CH3 6EE? Some houses come under that postcode on some sites and use cabinet 82
Thanks for all assistance

Thanks again Paul, unfortunately mine isn't listed for fibre.
Any idea why the houses that can get it are sporadic? Some of the houses closer to the cabinet can't get it but some further away can :/

Thanks again Paul, unfortunately mine isn't listed for fibre. In the same boat mate, been waiting for fibre since 2011.
Any idea why the houses that can get it are sporadic? Some of the houses closer to the cabinet can't get it but some further away can :/ Not a clue mate, could be routing issues, hard to tell due to I don't know what address is closest to cabinet 6 located on the corners of Eggbridge Lane and Common Lane.
Also Saighton Lane is a very long, of which I only saw a few of BT Manhole covers.

Well Clematis Cottage is advising it can get 80Mb which suggests it sits right on cab, even BT website says;
Clematis Cottage, Saighton Lane, Chester, Cheshire, CH3 6EG
Start again
Yes! You can get superfast BT Infinity
FIBRE BROADBAND
You could get
79Mb-80Mb
Estimated download speed range*
That house is the far end of village, I've dropped a marker on it on the map here; https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/53°09'10.0%22N+2...
Proper baffled now!! Apparently 1.6miles from that cab on common lane, following the road which is pretty much straight.

Madness Yeah, seems strange, I am only going by what the BT DSL Checker says.
Also I don't think that address is on top of that cabinet, if it was it would probably be getting a higher Range B Speed.

Seems to me that there may be a row of about 8 houses from Clematis that can have fibre broadband but no others can. Well 2 odd ones :/
I'll have to push for more info from somewhere. Not sure where though!!
