oh yea!! just tweaked an option on roadworks.org!
So this looks like good news then! I know the process is how long is a piece of string but could you make an educated guess based on what's going on roadworks.org as to an RFS date?

But it also all falls down to the schedule of all work to be done and requesting for planning for work like say a few weeks down the line a huge blockage is found that they was un aware of, they would have to put in for planning to dig up road which would need to coincide with contractors etc, this all can take time.
Saying that June next year seems rather harsh, but maybe they know something we don't.

Can someone do a check for me please for IP24 2TY? I'm confused I'm surrounded by houses that have FTTC, but apparently I cant get it!?
At "http://www.superfast-openreach.co.uk/where-and-when/", I'm told that all of the house numbers are on the ELVEDEN Exchange with:
- 97, 99, 101, 124, 126 and 128 Mallow Road = Accepting Orders
- But all other house numbers = Under Review
Then, at http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.AddressOutput, Im told that all of the house numbers are actually on the THETFORD Exchange and served by Cabinet 19. I checked one of the Accepting Orders and Under Review house numbers from above and got:
- Address 97 MALLOW ROAD, THETFORD, IP24 2TY on Exchange THETFORD is served by Cabinet 19
FTTC AVAILABLE
- Address 100 MALLOW ROAD, THETFORD, IP24 2TY on Exchange THETFORD is served by Cabinet 19
FTTC NOT AVAILABLE
So the information is conflicting for the connected Exchange, but align for FTTC availability. However, the cabinet is the same, so why cant I order? Is there a problem with their checkers/database?

Interesting!
Well if everything happens according to the planning dates (ideal world) the the cable being blown through should be mostly wrapped up by the 11th June then my conservative estimate of end of July for RFS could be plausible.

Cabinet 19 of Exchange Thetford (EATHE) currently supports approx. 823 connections spread over 40 or so postcodes, so it might be full.
That cabinet went live on 15th May 2012.

Thanks. I guess that's the problem with moving here at the end of 2013.
If it is full is there any advice on how to queue up for any lines that become available or find out when capacity will be increased?

yep 100% sure that cabinet serves me and my village and all the ducting has been put in connecting the PCP to NGA and they are prob no more than 5mtrs from each other.
Cab 5 from what I can gather just serves my village.
Checking roadworks.org around my area and certainly my Exchange's home village which is a couple of miles a way seems to indicate Openreach have pulled the trigger on rolling out 5 NGA's, they all have the same description:
Location : PCP 5
provide DSLAM plinth and cabinet & power civils
Also interestingly and i'm not sure if it's relevant but there is a BDUK in the works reference number...
I've just found a postcode (TA14 6UQ - Co-op) which 200mtrs the other way from the cab and that shows no difference, i'm probably just under 900mtrs walking distance from Cab 5.
But it just doesn't make sense! p.s. sorry for the long post!
I live in Stoke sub Hamdon right next to you and on the same Exchange, I have noticed the new cabinets going in as well, the connectingdevonandsomerset says the survey is due to be done jan-june 2016, so I am well confused but quietly confident that it wont be that long - wonder if 2016 is wrong and it was supposed to be 2015?
I would be really interested to know if you hear anything @bewA
The cabinet leaving Martock (both our exchange village) has been fitted, the one entering my village has been done, but the cabinet I assume I am connected to hasn't (its the nearest one to me at the top of North Street where it joins High Street)

Oh nice! Will certainly let you know!
I'm thinking July before we can place orders at least but they've not started putting the fibre in!
I did email Connecting Devon and Somerset and they said that's great news etc but their system won't be updated for at least month so they weren't able to give any more detail. I've managed to find out much more information which is above thanks to Paul!
