Borked as in some unique settings have been turned on that only work with certain hardware, and negotiation to ensure compatibility with hardware that does not support those modes is not working...
For example it might be insisting on Vectoring and/or G.INP actually operating and refusing connection to any other hardware.
When using the modem that syncs do you actually have an Internet connection?
Yes, I am using it now and the speed is better than I have ever had, here
i tried my old my old modem and the router plusnet sent me at my mates place and they both work fine. TBH, I am worried about telling plusnet in case they knock the speed down, maybe i should just get another modem the same as my neighbours.
But it is a strange thing and surly the old Huawai modem would not be able to cope with the newer tech like Vectoring or G.INP?
