Up to about 8 hours play time now which is a fair time to get a feel for it.

I like the battlelog. The stats and stuff are very well done. (I think MW3 is planning something similar)
Game play is relatively smooth but I had to upgrade my computer to a quadcore and faster RAM, SSD hard disk to get a decent experience.
Tanks/vehicles/aircraft is fun and adds dimension
Maps seem very varied.
Visuals/sound are excellent.
Dislikes:
Early weapons are hopelessly weak. Even playing against people on Rank 12+ totally own you. (In Modern Warfare it tends to unlock weapons in a more random way with different strengths/weaknesses)
Battlelog can be a bit fiddly. The friends system seems a bit weird. Clicking multiple times to get into a game is annoying. (Think games on Steam have this mastered but it did take a few years for it to get to it's current refined state)
Idiots. Too many fools playing this game. Jump into a 6 man carrier and drive off with it empty for example. Or get Q Spotted and then run over and lie down next to you...getting you killed.
Campers. Its full of them. I understand this is a "feature" of BF games but it's pretty ridiculous when you spawn in on Caspian Border and some German child with no life on Level 30 with EPIC SNIPER! instanto headshots you from 600 metres away.
Seems to be a lot of issues with people getting disconnected in the middle of the game or it crashes. And you lose all your points when that happens.
Movement/jumping can be "clunky". It just isn't as solid as the MW games.
No indication of pings inside the game. MW2 was slagged off relentlessly (by me included) for go for a ping bar approach. BF3 doesn't even do that.
