I'm thinking of switching from O2 - the dire speeds are becoming more frequent and the wife is starting to complain.
Question: if I sign up for a 12 month contract for ADSL, will it be possible to regrade to FTTC when it becomes available in our area (June is the target, but I'm sure it'll be delayed)?
TIA

Yes - however you may well lose the discount on the account

Yes, the contract term is added to the remaining months on the ADSL contract
Are you sure about that? I would have thought the old contract and any minimum term would end when the new (fibre) contract begins.

I'm fairly sure you are right Oliver. Also, as oldjim says, any discounts would cease - though in this case they would probably have ended anyway.

Excellent, thanks for all the info. I'll arrange my MAC today and wait the 7 days before ordering.

Wrong. The minimum term of the Fibre replaces any remaining existing contract term.
Im already part way through an annual/18 month contract, can I still upgrade?
Yes, you will be released from any existing contract and a new contract started based on the terms you agree to when upgrading.
