Hi,

I am on the PAYG package which includes 2GB per month, I am generally paying for an extra 2 or 4GB per month.

Thinking of changing to BBYW Option 2, same

BBYW will see slower speeds on P2P, Usenet etc unless you go for the Pro option.

Have a look at Kitz's excellent site to see comparison...

Hi 50pence,

In order to answer your question, we would ideally need to know what sort of usage that you're actually using.

Consider PAYG and Pro as practically the same, barring usage allocation and pricing differences. The traffic management on those two products is the same, with all traffic being in gold except VoIP and Gaming which is in titanium (highest priority on our network).

The other BBYW product offer varied levels of traffic management based on which option that you decide to go for (hence why they cost less than Pro per GB).

You can see the expected speeds on advanced protocols on BBYW here.

Any questions, please shout up

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, going by Nick_Russel's link I reckon I am better of on PAYG or Pro if only for the times when I might want to download, for instance, XP SP3 at 8:00PM.

In fact I disagree in principal with the kind of shaping indicated in the link as BBYW spec, paying for a service that is restricted when you potentially most need it does not make sense?

My useage is typically around 6GB / which cost me (without referals discount)
