Residential vs business

[link to this post]

A friend's thinking of signing up to PlusNet, and would be happy with the most basic Broadband Your Way Option 1 (9.99/month) - except that she wants to use it partly for business purposes, and the AUP says for that she has to use the Teleworker package (15.99/month).

Apart from the additional cost, this requires a 12-month contract instead of 1 month, webspace is limited to 100MB instead of 250MB, only 3 domains can be hosted instead of 5, there's no mention of 0808 free dialup access if there's a fault, and the only "additional features" seem to be things like Fax2Email which are of no great interest.

What's the reasoning behind this? And - off the record, of course ;-) - how would anyone know if she signed up personally but connected from work?

Reasoning? Well maybe teleworkers take up more of the webspace they are offered and want more daytime data transfer than PN have budgetted for and then want to go on and use it privately at night, so actually they turn out to be resource hogs more than straight residential users.

How would they know? If it all goes wrong and out of desperation she howls"but I need it for work".
