Heads up to anyone who uses Plusnet hosting and uses server side includes: today's Apache update will have broken your site!

No, not down for an hour, broken. The server side includes have stopped working.

It says their platform so you'd assume it includes server side.

Well I discovered a long time ago that Plusnet do not place a massive priority on their residential hosting infrastructure. Stopped using a forum a long time back due to speed issues and the like.

If one has a site which requires 24/7 up time, one should make alternative plans.

After doing all I could last night to get someone to look at it, within 15 minutes of someone from the Digital Care team seeing a message about it the problem has been fixed.

The Apache upgrade has been rolled back now due to some other problems we've come across. I'll post to our Service Status feed when we're due to roll it again...

Heads up that we upgraded the first of the six servers again yesterday afternoon.
