LLU in Nov

My Exchange (Tenby) now says the following:

21CN WBC status: RFS date set : 31/01/2012
and under LLU:
TalkTalk (CPW): RFS date set : 22/11/2011

What sort of speeds could I expect from LLU and can this be done without BT's WBC being completed?

Might be in the wrong forum as Plusnet don't use LLU any more... but to answer the section question, LLU does not depend on 21CN.

One has to ask oneself one question - would I touch TalkTalk a BT (spit) reseller such as PlusNet with a sterilised barge pole? Contrary to popular opinion, TalkTalk's LLU service is very good and runs at full line speed 24/7 (unlike a BT based service) if no line problems. However to the uneducated masses, TalkTalk's poor customer service = poor LLU service which is simply not true.

Not forgetting their Sales teams who will make outrageous promises, certainly in my case, I appreciate this is not exclusive to TalkTalk, however couple that with their complaints, it does not inspire trust in their product!

Have you actually experienced TalkTalk's LLU service or are you just making assumptions on heresay?

Hearsay is information gathered by one person from another person concerning some event, condition, or thing of which the first person had no direct experience.

If you must know, i had been with so called "niche" ISPs such as Zen, Idnet and Netplan on ADSL1 before my exchange was LLU'd by TalkTalk. Every evening, on ADSL1, with all of these ISPs, my speeds used to slow down from 7meg to less than 3 meg...this was purely down to exchange congestion. Since joining TalkTalk >12 months ago, i don't get any slowdown in the evenings, i get a constant 16 meg day and night. A friend across town even experiences slowdowns on BT's 21CN ADSL2+ every evening (he's with Newnet). So yeah, BT based ADSL1 & 21CN services are way better than TalkTalk or any other LLU based service. Oh hang on, is it 1st April already?

I can appreciate your positive experience with Talk Talk; however I can replicate the non slowdown with my ADSL1 with BT, indeed with constant 5.9 Meg at 42 attenuation. Location Location Location!
