Fttc optional extension kit on signup

Hi,

Got my install due on the 16th, when I signed up I opted for the free optional extension kit just in case, after signing up I could find no mention of the extension kit. I've queried it a couple of times with plusnet in questions regarding the installation date/time slot and it's never been answered. Should the extension kit have been delivered with the router which has since turned up or is it something the BTO engineer brings and uses if needed ?

Yes. So long as it did indeed get onto the order from Plusnet to Openreach.

There was a case recently where this had not been done .

I suggest you PM someone like orbrey here and ask him to check out your order. He'll need your Plusnet username.

First-line, that you are talking to, almost certainly aren't high enough up the chain to sort it out.

The engineer that visited me didn't even know what it was, lol. I had selected it on my order as well, but it was just to be safe; luckily I didn't really need it.

From Kelly's or Quinn's? I wonder if they know how to work a mains socket if it has a switch?
