We can but hope that this has something to do with fixing the problem that caused yesterday's outage.

A highly specialised job, that can only be done in daylight. wink

Maybe it involves removing and replacing a large upstairs window tongue. (Been there, done that, installing an ICL 2960 in the 1970s).

Edit - more seriously, the timing is why I thought it worth warning/telling people

Just had drop a minute ago. Fingers crossed it doesn't yoyo.

Latency has increased in the last few weeks for me, speed is stable albeit slightly reduced from a couple of months ago when there was a long out.

Obviously a lot more serious if they're doing it during peak hours. Either that or they're to tight to pay the engineers overtime wink

Glad if surprised to say that we enjoyed unbroken service yesterday, despite too many of these outages since we joined PN in July. Maybe PN has taken a leaf from the Met Office and warns that a light breeze may become a hurricane, just in case smile

Subject: Broadband Performance Issues (83886) - NEW

We're looking into a problem with one of our gateway routers, this is resulting in customers seeing sporadic packet loss and slow speeds.

This seems to be isolated to customers on the gateway known as PCL-AG07. If you're experiencing problems with packet loss please try logging into your router and disconnecting/reconnecting.

Our network engineers are continuing to investigate this issue and we will provide an update as soon as possible.
