Does Plusnet still send an end of contract email with renewal options and prices?
Anyone got one recently?
How long before the end of your currently contract was it sent?
Thanks
[Update: added recent deals to subject]

In short: 2 months and 1 months before.
My contract ended on August 17th. I got my first E-mail on 14th June, subject "It's time for your personalised account review":
As promised, we’re getting in touch to offer you an
account review. As your contract is nearly up, we want
to let you know what happens next so you can make
sure you’re on the right package.
This one had a link to live chat to discuss renewal options.
And the second on 16th July, subject "Important information about your Plusnet service":
We love having you with us and wanted to let you know about the options available for you as your current contract comes to an end.
The second one also included "Here is your best price (in line with Ofcom guidance)" and a link to renew the contract on those terms; plus for comparison, a description of the best deal available to new customers (not available to renewers).
HTH,
Brian.

Thanks yes I have not received these even checked my plus.net webmail - bills are there but nothing else.
Not very happy.
Anyone have any recent retention deal prices they have been offered so I have something to aim for?
80/20 package.
Thanks

The absolute maximum would be the current new customer price of £25.99. Looking at mine it's currently £25.13, which is on the high side because it's gone up since my last renewal (and it says it will be £47.54 after my contract ends, ha!)

My contract ends 21st October but I've heard nothing from Plusnet.

In late July I was going to accept renewal of unlimited fibre at £21.50 but the very pleasant sales person offered me unlimited fibre extra for £23 a month so I took that. One year contract.

Got an email from PN yesterday. They're offering me £23.99/month for 80/20 or £22.99 for 40/10. Both on 18 month contract. Lower than what I'm paying at the moment so it looks like a no-brainer to accept. Also looks like the same as they are offering to new customers.
I'll probably drop anytime calls at £10.28/month. Since my wife and I both have good, low cost, mobile contracts with unlimited minutes I can't see a good reason to keep the phone package. Can still pay to make an occasional call if both mobiles are in trouble.

I stopped making calls from landlines (other than 080 calls) years ago, what's the point when unlimited calls on mobiles now costs pennies a month?

Wouldn't a 12 month contract be better? Aren't you stuck on the higher price from next June until the following April with an 18 month contract?

What higher price? It's a lower price. Also, a 12-month contract is almost invariably more expensive than an 18-month contract.

The price will go up next March but I'm OK with that. It will still be chepaer than before.
What's not good is that PN have fouled up the billling and not given me the new price. Ihad to phone to complain. I think they've fixed that. But there's anohter foulup - My new contract is for 80/20 but I'm still on 55/10. The reason for me being on 55/10 rather than 40/10 is historical, to do with the old 40/20 speed which was really 80/20 but throttled.
I'm not impressed.
Incidentally I've been with PN since 2002 and not had too many problems over the years. I doubt I would have been significantly better off with other ISPs.

what I mean is the price will increase part way through the 18 month contract. If you are on a one year contract you may be able to find a cheaper deal after a year.
In my case a one year contract (80/20) negotiated recently was £23 a month, which is cheaper.

The price would go up during the 12-month contract as well.

But only once. If you get the timing wrong on an 18-month contract you could have two hikes (which could even be as much as 20% each time if the financial doom-and-gloom merchants are guessing correctly about inflation).

I now have a nice stable connection at 77.4/20 from my router stats. 73/19 using the speed tester on TBB.

Plusnet have given me a £10 credit in recognition of their foul-ups.
Connection is nice and stable. I hope things will stay really dull with my broadband. It's not something I want to have to think about.
