Sad to leave but what else can I do…

[link to this post]

Been with Plusnet for years and I’m on the 145 package Full Fibre.

Time to contract but won’t go any cheaper, I was thinking of going Vodafone but the calls go to India and it’s bad communication I’ve tried.

Saw another company called Pine Media but they close at 5PM and if any problems later you have to ring up leave a voicemail to see if anyone conracts you but their AI advisor does abit or something. Didn’t bother

Tried EE and they can knock money off contract which is great, ordered it but sadly no Static IP for CCTV hoping they work as always known had to have static ip, but apparently Plusnet don’t do a static anymore so if I lose this her and come back to Plusnet they won’t offer a static!

Plusnet won’t give me an offer I expected something for the years I’ve been with them.

We appreciate your custom they said, yeah right…

Yeah, same here.

I was on FTTC. Contract ended 3/1/25. I jumped as renewal and FTTP offers weren't at all attractive, particularly with the £3pm increase each April.

What are PN offering? I have found that there is not much that they can discount from their standard offers but pushing does get a little movement.

So you want a static IP, you want good support, you want to be able to phone someone after 5pm, and you don't want to pay much for it.

Can you see why you are not having much luck?

I was with Plusnet for nearly 9 years, I left because they were pushing me to FTTP and also a 24-month contract and the price was not great either. It was either Now broadband as they had a good price for FTTC at the time or something called onestream, like now broadband they have a 12-month contract, saying that Now don't offer 12 months anymore.

But in the end, I thought if i had to at some point for the FTTP, I may as well go with the Atnet we have here.

This onestream thing can supply static IP for an additional charge, I don't know how much, but their prices at the moment are pretty good for the first 12-14 months anyway

I have no idea what they are like, but you may find it difficult to find a ISP at a good price that offers static IP.

My ISP gives me a Static IP, excellent support - for broadband and other LAN/PC issues, 24/365 phone support, Next Business Day repairs. Problem is they cannot meet the final requirement!
