Someone has just closed my ongoing ticket # 22697732 just after replying to my last comments.
I am not yet satisfied that the line is stable as there were several connection drops yesterday morning.
Please reopen it and I will close it when I'm satisfied it is fixed.
NB this is the 2nd time it has been closed my PN, which I am repeatedly told is not possible !
Dave.

Hi Dave,
Unfortunately we can't actually reopen closed tickets. It'll stay on the system though, so there's no harm in your opening a new one. Sorry about this though!
Just so you know, we can't close ticket that you open, only ones that we do. Because the Broadband Fault Checker is essentially a ticket opened by our system, the facility to close the ticket is still there.

Also I raised a ticket for one of the works sites # 23448183 as it is only syncing at 768kbs and it's bRAS profile is only 500K.
I just wanted to know if they would be better on standard ADSL as aposed to maxDSL, but I just got the standard PN letter back asking me to do some BT speedtests.
Well the site is 50 miles away and there is no one there after midnight as it is an Army Cadet Weekend Training Centre, so running the tests is a bit of a challenge.
I only want a simple answer, I know they are at the end of a long line ?
Sync = 768, NM = 9.8, Attn = 63.0, O/P Power = 14.6
Regards, Dave.

Thanks for the quick reply James, but you did open this same ticket once before when it was closed by PN !
Anyhow, yesterday I noticed the my sync rate had dropped agin over night and I resynced it at about midday back to 8128, but can you see what had happened over the previous 12-24 hours to cause it to drop ?
Is the Noise Margin still set at 9dB ? as that may have caused it
Dave.

Hi Dave,
The attenuation of 63dB suggests that they are on a long line and we would not be able to place an order to a fixed rate service above 512Kbps.

Hi Dave,
You're syncing at 8128Kbps with a noise margin of 11dB. That level of noise margin is fine as you;'re syncing at the maximum level.
I can't reopen a closed ticket. I wouldn't have done thias previously as I'm unable to do so.

Won't this throw your stats out on how quickly you deal with an open tickets?
As it will looked that the problem has been solved, when it hasn't been?

OK just a thought
And I did say that they were on the end of a long line, so you guessed that one right !
Cheers, Dave

Not really. 1 ticket out of thousands on a weekly basis would not make any difference in the reporting.

I think they wanted it off their system as it has been ongoing since August !
Probably want all old tickets sorted before year end !!!
