Plusnet and LLU

Checking at samknows it would appear that PN do not "do" LLU.
Is this because they are a BT subsidiary and they are automatically
LLU'd?

Similarly is BT Openreach automatically LLU'd?

I have checked my exchange to see if there is a liklihood of a faster
connection as ADSL Max give me only the slightest speed increase
compared with Pipex. On balance quite happy here though!

PlusNet used to use Tiscali as their LLU partner (before they were taken over by BT). They haven't moved anyone onto the Tiscali platform for months (over a year I think) though.
Depending on where you live, the soonest you could get faster than MaxDSL is when BT upgrade your exchange for 21CN and enable ADSL2+ (which is what LLU providers use to provide the faster speed).

All the services we offer are supplied over BTs IPStream services and not MPF/SMPF LLU services.

PN did have a temporary association with Tiscali LLU which did not in the main go well and caused a number of issues.. This was shortlived however... given takeover by BT unlikely that a similar thing will happen again I guess,

Yes, we haven't placed any order with Tiscali since August 2006.
