From 6mbit stable for over a year to this?!

Joined plusnet at the start of the month and was really happy with the service so far until now. I seem to be capped at 2mbit, it was at 6mbit originally. I get 6mbit on the online BT speed test now but around 2mbit on any other online test. Surely this shows its a Plusnet fault?

I have a stable sync rate that never drops from the max and ive never had speeds under 6mbit at any time of the day over the past year.

Ive messaged James about this but wondered if its just me having problems?

Im on the Gamers pro package so I didnt think there where any speed caps at any time of the day? This was the reason I got it!!!

oh dear not this again, disconnected and tried a few different gateways and 5 times lucky im now getting 5mbit again with a different gateway.

So down to super busy gateways im getting bad speeds, *sigh* I knew this gamers package was to good to be true.

Which would make sense as the BT speed test has given me 6mbit all the way through.

God sake!

There hasn't really been much disparity between the gateways at all recently and the maintenance work the other night didn't actually drop any customer connections so there was no need for balancing.

That said, it was Microsoft patch Tuesday yesterday and there appear to have been gold drops across the network as a result. I'd be interested to know how your performance levels out towards the end of this week.

I was getting 6.5mbps last night no problems!
