Move to PN from Tiscali dial up

[link to this post]

A long standing elderly friend has decided to move on from Tiscali dial up, and I think I have persuaded him not to move to Tiscali BB.

Is anyone aware of any PN incentives that apply to a new user? Option 2 and phone are his most likely choice unless anyone has other points of view.

Does PN phone support caller display?

The only "incentives" that I can think about are:

1 month contract
90 day money back guarantee
"Free" hardware if you stay for 12 months
"Free" activation if you stay 12 months

If you leave before 12 months are up you'll need to pay for the hardware and activation but not any remaining subs (contract is still for one month).

As for the phone - caller ID will work but you have to add it as a call feature at 1.50/month. The phone has a one month contract period too.

There is also the bonus of 24/7 UK support.

The 90 day guarantee only applies to migrations I'm afraid.

However, if they sign up as a referral then you would be entitled to upto 45 as a one off bounty payment, which you could easily share

Assuming that they sign up for home phone and broadband of course (30 for BB, plus 15 for home phone)

I believe that caller ID was a chargeable extra @ 1.50 a month or something like that, but not sure now - perhaps this comment will trigger somebody in the know fleshing out a few more details!

Peter V has corrected me elsewhere in the thread that the cost for caller ID is 1.50 per month not 1 per month as I originally suggested, but I thought I'd better correct it here to avoid confusion.

Hi James,

The 90 day guarantee only applies to migrations I'm afraid.

Migration to me means from one place to another, which I thought would apply to my friend moving from Tiscali DU to PN, or in your context does it mean only from one BB ISP to another? If that be the case Im curious as to why, because to me I would have thought a brand new user to BB would be equally as attractive, as one skilled in the art of BB churning.
